Are All JV Giveaway Events An Effective Method To Start A List Of Subscribers Fast?

A JV giveaway event is a site setup by Internet marketers who agree to use their lists to help grow the lists of all the participants included. By participating in such an event each and every member is likely to grow their own subscriber list by using the total power of every the other list builders who are taking part.

The way it works is every participant of the JV giveaway submits one or more gifts along with their squeeze pages that they will use to collect new leads. They then agree to email their mailing list on launch day advertising the giveaway event and all the gifts contributed by other marketers.

Are JV giveaway events really a decent way to create your list quickly? The answer to this question is: it depends on the situation. If you are producing your own JV giveaway event than it certainly is.
Even if you are unpracticed and the event is not so well run, you will expand your list by 100's if not 1000's of subscribers. Good events may add to your mailing list many 1000's of new subscribers but you will have to really be good at it and have a reputation that attracts people. You will benefit greatly if you could find yourself a seasoned partner to manage the event together. If you are joining someone else to giveaway event as a contributor than you will grow your subscriber list.

Will it be dramatic growth? Again - it depends on the situation. If this is a well known event (running at the same time of the year for several years) and if you do great work with your contribution (more on that later) then you can see 100's of new members on your list. However, many of the JV giveaways I've seen are either conducted by unacquainted people or are run by "professional" event managers on behalf of others. Alas, most of those are not so well administrated and the results for members are way worse than one could hope for.

Conclusion

JV giveaway events are one way of developing your mailing list. Use them well and you will benefit.

Use other ways to build your list as well; don't rely on JV giveaways alone.
